The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of working with or in education settings to develop and improve support for young carers of primary and secondary school age and to assist schools to obtain the Warwickshire Young Carers School Award.

37 hours per week including occasional evenings  


Key Requirements

  • Relevant Education, Social Care, Health or Youth Work qualification
  • Minimum of two years’ experience of working in schools
  • Networking, developing and maintaining high level relationships
  • Delivering projects in partnership with other organisations
  • Working with young people and their families both individually and in groups
  • Leadership skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to contribute to statistical reports and information gathering process
  • Understanding of the legal implications of working with young people, including confidentiality and child protection
  • Knowledge of the schools network
  • Experience of delivering training
  • Effective communication skills
  • Understanding of young carers’ issues
