Job Details

“Be aspirational and think beyond the obvious to enable young people to reach their full potential”

Are you passionate about breaking down barriers to support people to live a more fulfilling life?

Do you want a great job that really makes a difference, enhances people’s lives and instils skills for life?

Then this could be the job for you.

A Skills Coach’s role is to provide enjoyable and stimulating activities for young people with additional needs, whilst helping them to develop their levels of independence, skills set, enjoyment of life and providing parents/carers with a valuable service that they rely on so much.

Whether you are looking for a rewarding role enabling vulnerable young people, a flexible working pattern to fit around you, or an opportunity to gain skills and experience in the health and social care sector, becoming a contracted Skills Coach could be the perfect position for you.

You will be able to demonstrate a proactive approach, the ability to think creatively to provide fun and stimulating support and a willingness to adapt and change as we develop to meet new innovations and challenges within the care sector.

As a Skills Coach you will invariably work with the young person you’re supporting on a 1:1 basis, accessing a range of activities in the community, supported by a dedicated team who are committed to providing an excellent service to the young people who access our service, and their families and carers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and highly successful team, supporting young people with learning and physical disabilities, which will include behaviours that challenge, to access a range of regular and adhoc leisure activities.

Whilst previous experience and drivers are preferred, this is not essential.

What you will receive from us

  • Flexible working pattern
  • Expert training, that you will be paid to do and opportunities to develop your skills
  • Excellent support and ongoing supervision.
  • Free DBS
  • Refer A Friend Scheme - £150 for every friend you successfully refer to us
  • The opportunity to join a team that is fully committed to support people to live a more independent and fulfilling life.
  • Outstanding terms and conditions, including
  • Automatic membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • The great opportunities to progress within our team
