Job Details

Due to the promotion of one of our AHTs, the Governors are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher and leader, who is both motivated and dynamic, to join the senior leadership team and build on our success. The successful candidate will have the ability, energy and determination to assist in moving the school forward towards its journey to outstanding.
We are a 2-form entry primary school based in West Bromwich; currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (March 2023), our school is a warm and friendly place where everyone is valued. We have strong links with our parents and the wider community and work hard to ensure every pupil is given an equal opportunity to achieve their full potential in a positive and caring environment. 

Our entire staff team are very passionate about making Hall Green Primary a great place for everyone to be and are committed to enabling our pupils to fulfil their aspirations and ensure they have, as our mission statement says, their ‘chance to shine’. 

We have well established school values of Resilience, Honesty, Ownership and Respect which are shared by our staff and underpin everything we do. Our ethos of hard work and good behaviour is embraced by our pupils, who are very proud of their school.

We are looking to appoint someone who:
•    Can lead Maths and Assessment across the school
•    Will be class based and will receive dedicated leadership release time
•    Is able to teach across the primary age range
•    Is able to lead by example and be a role model to others
•    Is committed to maintaining the ethos and values of the school
•    Can uphold the determination to continue to move forward to enable all pupils to make progress and succeed. 
•    Has a proven track record of excellent classroom practice
•    Is confident in developing strategies to enable all pupils and staff to reach their full potential.

Prior to attending your interview, we will obtain at least 1 reference which must be received by us before your interview can take place.  An online search will be undertaken on all shortlisted candidates.  This search does not form part of the shortlisting process and you will have the opportunity to discuss any issues of concern that may arise from this search at the interview.
Successful applicants will need to undertake, or currently hold, an enhanced DBS clearance.

As this post involves working with children and young people, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service including a Children’s Barred List check.

Pre-employment checks will be carried out in line with KCSIE
