Hybrid Working - full time 37 hours per week

We are looking for someone who is passionate, committed and dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people.  You will need to have a good knowledge of fostering and adoption regulations and direct experience of fostering and adoption that includes management experience.

You will be responsible for managing the fostering panel and the central list.  You will manage the quality assurance of fostering and adoption reports.  You will provide advice and guidance to the Agency Decision Maker and the wider Trust on matters pertaining to fostering and adoption. You will be responsible for co-ordinating feedback to the Trust and developing systems to improve the quality and timeliness across all areas of fostering and adoption.

About you:

  • You will be Social Work qualified with at least 5 years relevant post qualifying experience.
  • You will need an enhanced DBS and registration with Social Work England is required for this role.
  • Have experience of managing staff and direct relevant experience of fostering adoption. Have substantial experience of work with “Looked after” children’s placements, as well as fostering and adoption.
  • Have substantial knowledge/understanding of childcare and other relevant legislation, including adoption, and fostering regulations, the Ofsted framework for Independent Fostering Agency inspections and ILAC inspections for adoption.
