Newly Qualified Social Workers (ASYE)
Dudley is focussed, ambitious and creative
Don’t take our word for it, these are the words of Eleanor Brazil, Children’s Social Care Commissioner.
We want Dudley to be a place where children are safe and thriving and welcome applications from NQSW’s and will support those who have recently qualified to join our ASYE programme.
The Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) is the term used to describe a year long programme of support to enable the NQSW to strengthen their professional confidence whilst they work in their first social work post. The worker will need to pass their ASYE to progress to a main grade social worker role. ASYEs will work together in pods as described above.
Be part of a forward thinking, dynamic council, which actively supports staff and really wants to work together with its workforce to change peoples’ lives for the better...
Having recently invested £3million into Children’s Services, we are making ambitious changes and improvements to our service and hope to see you involved in the revolution.
We have initiated a transformation programme to improve every aspect of our vision, partnership and corporate commitment to the services we deliver to children. Revitalised council leadership arrangements are now in place and we have accelerated our efforts to support and strengthen the services we deliver to children and families. We have made significant strides to understand ourselves better and we now know exactly where we want to be and what work needs to be done to deliver on our ambitions.
Be assured that you will receive a new, comprehensive learning and development programme, with full support throughout your career and encouragement to make your mark.
