The Role


Salary: Grade 5 (Points 7 - 11) 

£20,433.00 - £22,344.94 actual salary *Depending on level of service

37 Hours – Monday – Friday

7.15am – 3.15pm

Term time only (38 weeks)

Location: Dormston School, Mill Bank, Dudley, West Midlands, DY3 1SN 
We are looking for a highly motivated and confident technician to join our successful Science Department.  The successful candidate will provide support to the Science Department with preparation for practical lessons and maintaining equipment and resources. 

We are looking to appoint someone who:

  • Demonstrates proficiency in effectively handling a high volume of work, managing intricate tasks, and adapting to shifting priorities while consistently meeting specified deadlines.
  • Has at least two years’ experience as a science technician or related role (this is desirable).
  • Has a thorough comprehension of the diverse range of science equipment and tools available in the workplace is crucial.
  • Possesses a demonstrated background in team collaboration as well as a strong inclination toward adaptability in the scope of assigned tasks.
