SENCO

Salary: Main Scale + SEN allowance

Contract: Fixed-term Maternity Cover

Part-time Required as soon as possible (3 days per week)


The Governors are seeking to appoint a Part-time SENCO to cover maternity leave. You must be dynamic, enthusiastic and committed to inclusive education. You will be responsible for leading and managing the School's provision for students with SEND and make a wider contribution to whole school improvement.

Can you inspire, motivate and innovate? Are you research focused? Can you act independently as well as in a team? As SENCO you will be supporting the development of a whole school ethos in which the raising of student aspiration is central to your work. You must be seen as a highly effective leader and an excellent practitioner. You will set the highest standards for yourself and others and must be committed to all students receiving an outstanding educational experience in a school that is focussed on raising standards at every level.

As a school we need someone with:

· Experience of implementing strategies on a whole-school basis to support students with SEND

· A thorough understanding of The Code of Practice

· A thorough understanding of how best to support a range of students with multiple learning difficulties

· Experience of managing and working with a team of teachers/TAs
