We are committed to providing the highest quality of education that enables pupils to excel academically, through the delivery of strong specialist teaching. We pride ourselves on success in developing pupils’ character, so they become socially and emotionally aware, confident young people.

We are looking to appoint an ambitious, creative, Geography Teacher to take a leading role in our Geography department. You will have the passion and ability to inspire young people to be articulate, knowledgeable and analytical about the world they live in. You will instil a thirst for knowledge in understanding a variety of perspectives, and develop respect for the different cultures in the wonderful and diverse world we live in.

You will help to develop and deliver an innovative and progressive curriculum in Geography which is supported by a programme of extracurricular and enrichment activities. You will work positively and collaboratively within the department and collectively develop and improve all aspects of teaching and learning in this area.

We are looking for an inspirational candidate with proven experience in KS2 and / or KS3. The ideal candidate will be someone who sets high expectations for children, makes learning engaging and enjoyable, ensures that every child is valued and is supported to take opportunities to reach their potential. This is a fantastic opportunity and the post would be suitable for experienced practitioners as well as newly qualified teachers, who would be able to benefit from our successful and supportive ECT Induction Programme.

You will have:

  • Energy, enthusiasm, creativity and talent.
  • Motivation and high expectations for achievement.
  • A desire to make a positive difference to the lives of the pupils, form strong relationships and ensure that potential is realised.
  • Commitment to working as part of a team and in partnership with parents.

In return we can offer you:

  • A modern environment for teaching and learning.
  • A positive, welcoming and supportive community of ambitious and dedicated staff, children, parents and governors, where respect and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
  • The opportunity to teach alongside talented teachers delivering lessons to consistently high standards.
  • Well behaved, friendly pupils who are eager to learn.
  • Excellent induction and a strong commitment to your career and professional development.
  • An opportunity to work in a school that is part of a secure pyramid of schools, working exceptionally closely with feeder first schools and high schools and the Spire Trust Learning Partnership.

Applications must be on official Worcestershire County Council job application forms obtained through the school. CV’s will not be accepted. Informal visits to the school are both welcomed and encouraged, and prospective applicants should contact the Business Manager by email or telephone to request an information pack or to arrange a suitable time for a visit.
