We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic person to the role of Planning Enforcement Officer within the Development Management Section of the Planning Service.

The successful candidate will undertake enforcement action on land and buildings, which are having an adverse impact on the quality of the surrounding environment. This position provides an opportunity to impact positively on the Council’s key priority of creating Safer, Greener, and Cleaner communities. The post holder will also be required to investigate and take appropriate action concerning breaches of planning control and in respect of unauthorised traveller encroachment on Council land.

It is desirable that applicants should have experience of planning enforcement and/or in relation to unauthorised traveller encroachment. Applications from candidates with experience of other types of civil enforcement will be considered

Hours:

37 Hours per week.
