Advanced Social Work Practitioner

A basic salary of up to £36,379 plus a £4,000 Market Forces Payment per annum

Based at County Hall Worcester

Working alongside Dan Adams who has recently been promoted to the post of Principal Social Worker you will play a key role in modelling and helping to support the development and improvement of front line social work practice in Worcestershire.

Dan having worked for Worcestershire since 2009 and has experience of working in different teams, he is keen to ensure that the role of a front line social worker is represented at the highest level within our senior leadership team.

Working as an Advanced Practitioner you will be actively supporting the professional development of NQSW's and assess their progress throughout their ASYE year. This will be achieved through you promoting quality social work assessments, care planning and intervention for children and families through monitoring, joint working and reflective case discussions, providing advice and guidance on complex casework and promote a learning culture. The role works across a locality area and you would support up to five newly qualified social workers.

If you are able to demonstrate that you have considerable experience in a statutory Social Care setting and a broad range of skills to help you deliver the high quality services to the children and families of Worcestershire, Dan would welcome the opportunity to work with you.

Worcestershire can offer you -

The technology and flexibility to work from home, in the office or from touch points across the county

Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

An allowance of up to £10,000 to eligible to recruits who need to move home as a result of accepting an appointment.  You can receive help towards removal expenses, legal fees, estate agents fees disturbance expenses and additional accommodation costs
