The Role:
Supporting Families First team are seeking an exceptional candidate who is focussed on facilitating positive outcomes for our children and young people within Worcestershire.
You will be part of a friendly, innovative multi-disciplinary pod with the key priority of building on existing strengths within the family in order to manage times of crisis or emerging challenges.
Within your role you will work directly with Children & Parents within their own homes. A key task is to build a positive working relationship, be responsive to changing needs and to ensure that the Child In Need plan is progressing as outlined. You will also be expected to liaise with internal and external partners who are integral to the plan.
In order to support you to do the best job possible you will be directly managed and supervised by an Advanced Social Work Practitioner who will also lead on the Child In Need Plan. The overall responsibility and functionality of the pod is led by the Team Manager. In terms of the disciplines within the Pod there is a Money Mentor, Family Support Worker, Youth Mentor, Substance Misuse and two other experienced Outreach Workers.
