Everyone has heard of Shakespeare’s Stratford upon Avon, but did you know we have two world class theatres, some of the best landscapes in the county including the Cotswolds AONB, West Midlands Green Belt, numerous Conservation Areas and we have recently been awarded one of the 14 new Garden Villages.
Not everyone knows that our performance figures are among the best, that we deal with over 4000 applications a year and that we are a great team of planners.
How would you like to join us?
The Planning Applications Team is working hard to maintain high performance levels. As part of our continuing drive to create the permanent jobs we are looking to complete the team with a permanent Planner. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and able to get up to speed quickly with a heavy and diverse range of casework, including rural and urban market towns and have a positive attitude to development.
You may already be working at this level and looking for a new challenge or maybe seeking to develop your career from Planner position into work on major schemes. In either case, you will need to have a positive attitude to both developments and ‘customer care’ and a commitment to improving the built environment of Stratford-on-Avon District. Previous appeal and committee experience is expected.
You should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in planning or related discipline and be a full member of, or working towards membership of the RTPI. Experience of relevant casework is essential.
