Apprentice - Housing Assistance

£150 per week Apprentice wage
37 hours per week
The council is currently recruiting an apprentice to join the Wolverhampton Home Improvement Service.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in an exciting environment undergoing a lot of development and change. The work that we do assists vulnerable owner occupiers to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. We work closely with Social Care, Health, Housing and Wolverhampton Homes. This post is unique to the council as the successful applicant will be based with the team which is co-located with Wolverhampton Homes.
We are seeking an outgoing, flexible and committed individual who has good communication skills and attention to detail. Administration and computer experience will be required for this role.
You will work towards developing your skills, knowledge and experience whilst on your placement to:
Carry out general administration duties including word processing, inputting data, general filing, photo-copying, incoming/outgoing post etc.
Communicate effectively to deal with customers queries either internal/external, by telephone and written correspondence
Develop customer service skills to contribute to the delivery of our services.
You will be given the opportunity to attend a college 1 day a week.
Become an active team member
Contribute to the expansion and development of the team
Undertake appropriate training as identified relevant to the role
