The Governors of Gladstone Primary Academy are seeking to appoint highly motivated, enthusiastic classroom practitioner to join our dedicated, skilled team and contribute fully to the life of our happy school.  Applications from Early Careers Teachers and experienced Teachers are warmly welcome.  Similarly, applications are welcome from candidates with experience in any Primary School Key Stage.

We have fantastic facilities in our impressive ‘state of the arts building and grounds’.  Gladstone is a 2-form entry school and we currently have 470 pupils on roll. Our exciting grounds offer a vibrant outdoor learning environment. We were awarded the Whole School National Nurture Award in July 2019 and have our own KS1 and KS2 Nurture provisions. Ofsted graded us as a GOOD school in May 2022.

Gladstone is a friendly, caring and nurturing school where everyone’s contribution is valued.  We have a talented and dedicated team and a forward thinking and ambitious Governing Board. We offer a supportive team of colleagues who are committed to providing the best for our pupils.

Our fantastic pupils are well mannered and polite and play an active role in the running of our school and our parents are very supportive and work well with us. We are part of the Societas Trust which supports and values staff wellbeing and development.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • is an outstanding classroom practitioner who can motivate pupils of all aptitudes and abilities has experience teaching the Primary or EYFS curriculum
  • is a well organised classroom practitioner who will strive to ensure every child reaches their full potential is enthusiastic about planning and delivering an exciting, creative and fun curriculum has excellent communication skills and is able to contribute to and work collaboratively as part of a team
  • are able to contribute to the development of extra-curricular opportunities and make a positive contribution to all aspects of school life Has a good sense of humour

This post is exempt under the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 All appointments will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Criminal Records Bureau before the appointment is confirmed.
