Parks and Events Business Support Officer
Full-time : 37 hours per week
2 Year Fixed Term
Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. We are looking for a proactive, positive, creative, innovative, self-led and highly organised Individual.
The Parks and Events team at Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Councils are looking for an energetic, flexible, and well organised Business Support Officer to assist our team's day to day functions, programmes and delivery.
The role provides an exciting opportunity to play a critical role supporting the coordination and administration of our programmes and projects alongside a broad range of local, regional and national organisations from a variety of backgrounds.
We are looking for a ideal person who is excellent at developing good ideas, is passionate in the same way as us about encouraging people from Redditch and Bromsgrove. To get in involved in our parks and events and who thrives best when working face to face with people.
The individual will enjoy working as part of a team and have natural flair for communicating well with people of all walks of life. The role would be equally well suited for somebody with excellent administration skills who would like something a little different, or perhaps a recent leisure or culture graduate keen to get involved with our exceptionally well connected and friendly team.

Key Requirements:
- Day to day coordination and management of the team's activities
- Management of diaries, scheduling of meetings and note taking.
- Collection and recording of data and assisting with the monitoring of budgets
Ordering and requisitions of good/supplies and services. - Answering residents & staff enquires and providing technical support for the service as required.
- Supporting colleagues with administration and project related tasks
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience of minute taking, planning and organising meetings
- Good relationship building and communication skills
- Imaginative thinker and problem solver
- Ability to regularly travel between Redditch and Bromsgrove
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team
- Experience of working in community settings
- Good IT, coordination, administrative and organisational skills
