Examinations Officer- Sandwell Community School
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sandwell Community School for a permanent Examinations Officer to start in September 2017. We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and experienced person to join our busy central team and be responsible for the administration, organisation and smooth running of the schools’ external and internal examinations.
Sandwell Community School is a dedicated provision for students living within the borough who are either at risk of permanent exclusion or who have been permanently excluded from their secondary school. Our school has five specialist campuses across the borough and an Inreach provision to assist in reaching our most vulnerable students.
For this post you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be proficient in IT and MS Office software with a strong commitment to school improvement. The role will involve full responsibility for all exam organisation and supervision of the school as an exam centre. Ideally you will have experience of working with multiple awarding bodies and qualifications with portfolio based assessments.
The post holder should be familiar with examination regulations and should be able to advise staff, management and students accordingly.
Applicants will need to be confident and enthusiastic about working in a school environment with KS3 & 4 pupils who have a range of complex issues and challenging behaviours.

Hours: Full Time -Term Time plus 5 training days + 5 additional days -This is the full time salary which will be reduced dependant upon number of hours/weeks worked.
Grade:Grade D £19,430- £22,658)
