Education, Employment and skills wish to recruit an Area Engagement/Mentoring Officers to engage unemployed Sandwell  people aged 16‐29 to access employment and training as part of the Impact – ESF.

Youth Employment Initiative.  The role is to support Sandwell people within their activities, training and/or workplace, ensuring commitment to their career pathway. This will include monitoring and reporting the progression of the Sandwell people in their own development and to identify progression into employment post the Impact programme to access employment and training.


Sandwell Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups including children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

An enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.

This post is fixed term until 01/02/2018 due to additional capacity in the Area Employment team to deliver against project targets and objectives.


Hours:

37 hours per week
