We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Leader to join our Technology Faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher, who will have access to our well-resourced faculty and support from our capable and caring team. Our technology faculty consists of the disciplines of Design Technology, Food Technology, Textiles and Computing. The successful candidate will ideally teach a Technology subject up to A Level, with experience of multiple disciplines in other Key Stages preferred.

 

 

We are part of the Castle Phoenix Trust which specialises in leadership development and can offer a comprehensive and exciting leadership package including coaching support.

 

This is a full time post, starting in September 2024

 

We are seeking a passionate leader of Technology who will uphold our ethos that ‘there are no great schools without great teachers’ and who will support our much valued team of teachers in their professional learning. The successful candidate will be one of eight faculty leaders at Caludon who contribute to the leadership of the school’s quality of education through our faculty centred leadership model.

 

Our skilful team of teachers has built an ambitious and impactful contextualised curriculum that engages our learners creativity and sequentially develops their skills. The quality and care that is integral in the curriculum plans leads to high uptake and successful outcomes at GCSE in all disciplines and routinely good uptake at Post 16. Our Technology teachers have embedded robust routines, using oracy and digital technology to enable students to achieve their potential.

Our Technology faculty prioritise the development of cultural capital for our students and work in collaboration with a variety of partners to widen student experiences. These include outside speakers, visits and working in partnership with external agencies such as Broadweavers.

The successful applicant will:

Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching and learning. Have a record of consistently delivering strong GCSE results across a range of ability levels. Ideally have experience of teaching A level Deliver an inclusive curriculum that inspires and engages students and provides an aspirational and challenging learning experience. Be a committed, highly competent, energised, reflective and resilient individual.
  • Possess the skills and determination to make a profound difference to the lives of our students by sharing our belief in the highest standards of academic achievement in an inclusive setting.
  • Have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills.
