About the Role

Flexible Learning Team: Permanent English Teacher

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Flexible Learning Team and be part of Warwickshire’s SEND Change journey.

We're looking for a motivated, enthusiastic teacher to join our team of nine teachers, working with over 200 pupils, who are unable to attend school due to ill health.

The successful candidate will work alongside other subject specialist teachers, planning and delivering a core curriculum to vulnerable learners, the majority of whom have significant mental health needs. Much of the work is delivered virtually or in our community learning hubs.

The teaching team works closely with our pastoral team of Inclusion Mentors, supporting pupils through highly creative intervention work to ensure best outcomes and a return to an educational setting.

The Flexible Learning Team is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and a Teacher Prohibition check.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate must have recent successful Key Stage 3 and 4 experience in delivering English in a mainstream setting as most of our learners are working towards GCSE examinations.  Recent online teaching experience is also essential.

For further information please see the Job Description and Person Specification.
