Our school is a welcoming and friendly school who strives for every child to be happy and successful.   We want children to enjoy sport and give them opportunities to thrive and celebrate achievements beyond the classroom by entering competitions and offering after school clubs so that every pupil gets access to high quality and regular sporting activity.  In 2023 The school was awarded the Platinum Sports Mark.     We have also created a legacy of sporting success both locally and across the county.

Wrekin View Primary School is part of the Learning Community Trust. Our vision is to provide an ambitious, engaging and relevant curriculum to develop happy, successful, curious children equipped for life in an ever-changing world.

The successful applicant will be responsible for building a positive culture of sport and physical education across the school. Interpersonal qualities are essential as they will work alongside class teachers in a coaching and mentoring capacity to enhance PE lessons, which we offer children from the ages of 4-11.

We strive for the children’s skills and abilities to be tested in respectfully competitive scenarios, so the successful candidate will arrange and lead competitions in a variety of sports within Wrekin View Primary and against other primary schools, both in the Learning Community Trust and local area. Our children’s safety is paramount, so all lessons, clubs, competitions, and resources will be comprehensively risk assessed by the applicant.

They will work alongside senior leaders to write and deliver the school’s sports premium funding policy to ensure that all children are allowed to flourish regardless of personal circumstances – a genuine passion to inspire young people and a wholehearted commitment to reducing obesity levels is crucial.
