Warwickshire’s Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) has been in place since May 2016. The Early Help Officer Team within Warwickshire offers Early Help advice and information within the MASH and we would like to recruit a new Early Help Mash Worker to support in this function.
The Warwickshire MASH is a partnership between Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire Police, Warwickshire NHS Health Services and other key partner agencies working together to safeguard children, young people and adults. The MASH acts as the first point of contact, receiving new safeguarding concerns or enquiries and collating information from different agencies to build up a holistic picture of the circumstances of a case.

The Role

The MASH is a fast paced environment where information is gathered, interpreted and acted on at speed. You will be required to look at a range of information and understand the story of a child or young person and then represent this story clearly to other professionals to support safeguarding decisions.
You will also support with Early Help advice for those children and young people who require an Early Help response. A sound knowledge of universal services and how they support children, young people and families would be beneficial.

37.0 Hours per Week

Key Requirements

You will need to be able to work under pressure and have a strong ability to analysis data and communicate clearly both in writing and verbally. You will be required to work on your own initiative as well as collaboratively with individuals, colleagues and other agencies. You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines.
You can expect to join a supportive team and department where you will be supported to learn and develop safeguarding skills, alongside regular supervision, training opportunities and flexible working. This is an exciting and demanding area of safeguarding practice with lots of variety and diversity.

This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
