Are you committed to improving outcomes for Wolverhampton’s children and young people throughout the City of Wolverhampton? The School Workforce & Governance team support Teaching, Assessment, Moderation, Governance and School Improvement. We devise strategies to aid school standards, such as recruiting highly-skilled School Governors, facilitating Governing Board meetings through effective clerking, and providing high-quality training and development opportunities.

This is an exciting new opportunity for you to become one of our team of School Governance Clerks.
The successful candidate will contribute to our expanding Clerking team, and be instrumental in developing effective Clerking mechanisms for schools and governing boards across the City. Each Clerk will be responsible for their own set of schools, and charged with effectively clerking statutory and school Governing Board meetings, and providing advice and practical support to transform and further enhance governance in our city.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in Clerking, School Governance or a related field, enhanced interpersonal and considerable I.T. skills, with a flair for written communication and attention to detail. Minute-taking experience is essential, and excellent Torganisational capabilities will be required to work in this fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will benefit from our status as an ‘investors in people’ council who put the professional development of our workforce high on the agenda.
