Specialist Teacher of the Visually Impaired

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced teacher of the visually impaired (0.4 FTE) to join a well established local authority team. This is a peripatetic post supporting C&YP with visual impairment and their families in homes, mainstream, and specialist settings across age ranges.
We operate county wide but deployment can be flexible dependent on the needs/location of children and the skills/experience match of the appointee. As this is a part-time post the days worked can be negotiated with the Team Leader.
Employees have a responsibility for, and must be committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring they are protected from harm. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Prior to the interview we will request your references. Failure to obtain both references will result in your interview being withdrawn.
