Team Manager - Planning


Planning and Environment facilitates sustainable development across Warwickshire through regulatory and statutory activities. The service acts as the County Planning Authority carrying out the day-to-day operations which includes determining County Matter and Regulation 3 planning applications, providing pre-application advice, and ensuring compliance with planning permissions, taking Enforcement Action where appropriate.   


We are looking for a highly experienced planner to fulfil a senior role within the Planning Development Management team, who has extensive knowledge of planning legislation and Government policy. You will be working in a small friendly professional team and have significant post qualification experience in development management and full membership of the RTPI.


The job will include a varied workload that is both challenging and rewarding, to ensure that the County Planning Authority function is discharged effectively and efficiently.


You'll have extensive experience of planning development management, with strong knowledge of planning legislation, local authority planning processes, and relevant government policy. You'll also need practical experience of preparing, presenting and defending planning recommendations in regulatory committees, public inquiries and courts.
