1:1 Primary Phase Teaching Assistant (KS2)

Grade/Scale: Grade F, Points 7-10

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 6.5 hour per day with a half hour lunch break. 39 weeks per
year (Term time only plus teacher training days)

Contract Start: September 2024

Aylesford Primary is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful
candidate will work closely with a Key Stage 2 pupil, providing essential support as outlined in their Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).

This role encompasses assistance in areas such as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, and Physical/Sensory support. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping the pupil develop coping strategies, build resilience, and achieve both academic and personal success.

Our ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and a deep understanding of the challenges they face. You will be resilient, empathetic, kind and nurturing. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create and implement individualised support plans inline with an EHCP.
