Salary: £48,575 to £56,540 per annum, plus up to 3 SPA points
37 Hours per Week
Location: County Hall, Worcester

The Role

WCF Educational Psychology Service are looking to recruit passionate psychologists who thrive on multiagency working to improve outcomes for children and young people.  You will be a creative problem-solver who can apply psychology across contexts and systems to promote inclusion.  You will be dynamic in your application of psychological theories and knowledge aligned to your values.  Continual professional development will be important to you and you will be able to make best use of our close links with a number of universities.

Your role will encompass working across a range of settings through a traded service model of delivery, involvement in service development projects with opportunities to lead these (e.g. Virtual School, ELSA, SEMH, Co-production and Early Years) and statutory assessments using person-centred approaches.  Additionally, as we are part of Inclusion Support Services in the All Age Disability Directorate you will collaborate regularly with colleagues across services including specialist teaching services, early years inclusion, social care, SEND services and a range of  other education services.

To be successful you will be a qualified EP or a Y2/3 Trainee EP looking to develop and extend your current experiences and psychological practice.

Worcestershire is geographically located to enable EPs to live in a range of areas across the West Midlands and South West region and our school allocations and flexible working enable EPs to balance work and life.  This is in addition to up to 31 days annual leave, flexi-leave system, payment of HCPC fees, salary sacrifice car lease scheme as well as discounts and promotions available through the Local Authority benefits scheme.

We would welcome informal discussions and expressions of interest.  Please contact Dr Louisa Jones (PEP and Head of Inclusion Support Service) on
