Job Details

STAR Service is Short Term Assessment and Reablement service provided by Sandwell Council. Working with people (over 18yrs of age) in their own homes, we aim to support and encourage them to regain and retain as much of their independence as possible.

The service works closely Community Health colleagues and other parties to ensure that all aspects of the individual’s health and wellbeing is looked after.

Tasks include;

  • Supporting with all aspects personal care.
  • Meal preparation.
  • Supervising/administering medication.
  • Encouraging exercise regimes.
  • Basic Shopping.

Whilst previous care experience is desirable, it is not essential and full training and support will be provided.  You need to have a kind, warm and caring nature.

You must be a car owner/driver.


20 & 24 hour contracts available

Successful candidates are required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check with Adults barring check.
