1 x 22.5 hours per week

1 x 28 hours per week

Do you:

• Have an NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent?

• Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy (e.g. GCSE Grade C in English and maths or equivalent)?

• Effectively use ICT to support learning?

• Relate well with children and adults?

• Work well as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and own position within these roles, caring for children in a classroom or educational setting?

• Have experience of assisting children to use resources for learning?

• Understand the national/foundation stage curriculum and other basic learning?

• Understand child development and learning?

• Have a basic knowledge of first aid?

• Have a passion for learning?

Are you prepared to:

• Assist the teacher with learning activities generally in the classroom?

• Carry out appropriate activities as planned within the classroom or with groups of pupil including administration of baseline tests?

• Display and present children’s work?

• Hear children read?

• Coach and support children to be independent by helping them with tasks?

• Prepare and organise teaching resources including the checking and maintaining of classroom equipment and materials including control of stock within the classroom?

• Prepare resources for lessons and activities?

• Assist the teacher in liaising with parents and professionals such as speech therapists?

• Assist children with personal hygiene routines?

• Deal with minor accidents and administer first aid?
