Job Start Date: 1st September 2024

Grade 3 Sacle Point 07-17 £12.59-£14.91 per hour

  • 17.5 hours: £10,093.17 - £11,952.77 per annum
  • 14 hours: £8,283.93 - £9,562.22 per annum

Monday-Friday 12:00-3:30pm (17 hours 30 minutes) or Monday-Thursday 12:00-3:30pm (14 hours)

Qualified Level 3 Pre School Room Lead

We are seeking to appoint a Pre-school Room Lead for our Pre-school who can motivate and inspire children to be-

‘Independent, Articulate and Aspirational.’

As a Pre-school Room Lead, you will be required to:

  • Actively engage in the delivery of the educational work programme and activities developed by the classroom teacher.
  • Co‑ordinate the work of individual or a group of Teaching Assistants including on the job training of other Teaching Assistants.
  •  To monitor individual pupils and to report progress, achievements, problems and concerns to class teacher.
  •  Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, in which children can develop social and academic   skills and thrive.
  • Supervise the activities of individuals or groups of children to ensure their safety.
  • Use specialist skills to undertake those activities necessary to meet the communication, physical, social and emotional needs of pupils.
  • Undertake those activities necessary to meet the needs of all children, including pupils with special educational needs.
  • Ensure every individual child’s needs are met, including supporting parents with any SEND/ASL needs.
  • Supervise children at meals and snack time.
  • Ensure high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the pre-school and maintain equipment in a tidy condition.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
  • Prioritise the safeguarding of children.
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with children and staff.
  • Build close relationships with parents and carers and report daily on their child’s time at Pre-school.
  • Remain up to date with our childcare policies and procedures.

We will be looking for someone who has a passion for working in the Early Years sector. Candidates must hold a relevant Level 3 or higher qualification.
