Permanent

Grade 4 - £32,076 - £39,186 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

Following the recent government expansion of the funded childcare offers for working parents, we are in the exciting position of being able to expand our team to meet the growing demands of delivering professional services for childcare providers, partner professionals and parents.

Working within the Early Years and Childcare Service, you will play a vital role in enabling the Local Authority to meet its statutory duties in respect of childcare sufficiency for children aged 0 -14 (18 for children with SEND) and for the delivery of the current funded early education places for 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds and the expanded offer for children aged 9months+ from September 2024. 

The post holder will have a Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare and sound knowledge of the Early Years and Childcare Statutory Requirements for sufficiency and early education entitlement.

You will work with private nurseries, Childminders, Childminder Agencies, independent schools, local authority schools, and academies to ensure early education entitlement funding administration, communication and development needs are effectively achieved. 

You will support the collection and analysis of early education entitlement data and work in partnership with all key stakeholders to raise awareness of the offers and increase take-up of early education places.
