About the Role


We are looking to recruit a Pensions Assistant working on the Benefits Team. 

It's a varied and interesting role which involves processing our deferred members into pensioners, dealing with death cases and providing estimates for employees and employers - and that's not even all of it.  You get some fantastic customer interaction, working with other departments (such as payroll) and a chance to develop your understanding of the Local Government Pension Scheme. 


Key Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs (A - C) or equivalent including Maths and English
  • Orderly and meticulous approach to work with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to deal sympathetically with members, pensioners and beneficiaries.
  • Commitment to service improvement, with a positive attitude to change and to act as a role model for other team members.
