The Role - Children Social Work Services Team Manager
If you are a dedicated and creative experienced social worker or existing team manager looking to make a difference, develop your career and improve the lives of children and young people, then Worcestershire Children Services should be your next destination. 

We are looking for candidates who will keep relentless focus on positive outcomes for our children and young people. You will lead, manage and inspire a small team of up to 6 social workers and be supported by dedicated administrative support.  Supporting you in the management of ASYEs and staff performance and development are a team of advanced social work practitioners.  We also have a strong permanent experienced senior management team to support you in your role as Team Manager.

We have a Team Manager position available in;
Family Front Door – Assessment teams.

This team undertakes social work assessments following referral.  As Team Manager you will be working alongside a peer managing duty and supervising a small team of social workers, newly qualified Social Workers, family support workers and Business Administrative Support Officers.  

The team work collaboratively to support one another to ensure that the children and families that we work with receive a high-quality service, where their needs are fully assessed, and the right level of support and intervention is provided. The team undertake Child in Need meetings, Initial Child Protection meetings, direct work with families and where necessary management of urgent public law proceedings.  Multi agency working is significant and positive relationships continue to be forged with our partner agencies. 

The Service
We were very proud to achieve an Ofsted rating as Good in 2023 and are continuing at pace to ensure services are supporting children and families in our communities.  

Ofsted visits and Social Work Health Checks have reported a positive morale and confidence in management vision and leadership of the services.
