As part of our drive to improve Herefordshire Council is seeking to appoint energetic, child-centred and experienced qualified social workers to work within our frontline services. You will be right in the heart of our children’s services, based in our Looked After Children’s Team responsible for support and care planning for children in long-term care until the age of 16.

You will have a track record of working with children and families whilst demonstrating a sound knowledge of legislation and regulation and experience of safeguarding and risk assessment practices. In return we will provide you with regular supervision, the opportunity for professional development and the chance to work with a team dedicated and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children in Herefordshire.

This role is based in Herefordshire, one of the most rural counties in England with beautiful un-spoilt countryside, distinctive heritage and many attractive and lively market towns.
