Student Support Assistant.

37 hours per week, term time, permanent.

The Governors of this small and forward thinking school are seeking to appoint an outstanding  Student Support Assistant to manage the behaviour of pupils on a day to day basis, with a passion and the commitment to help us continue on our journey as a 'good school' OFSTED May 2016.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Student Support Assistant to join the team at this innovative and forward looking school.  Under the direction of the senior staff you will  be expected to provide social, emotional and behavioural support for pupils as required, support pupils in their education, social development and welfare, be flexibly deployed according to the changing needs of the pupils, liaise with parents, carers and external support agencies, monitor whole school behaviour. Due to the small school setting the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to undertake other areas in relation to student support.

The postholder will have excellent communication and interpersonnel skills. They will also be able to work on their own aswell as part of a team and relate well to pupils to help overcome any barriers they have to learning.

The position is ideal for a person committed to professional development within a supportive environment who will enjoy ensuring that the role is an important element in the support of the teaching and learning of our students and who can show the school's advantages to a wider audience.
