Salary:  MPS/UPS + 1-2 SEN Points depending on qualifications/experience

Haughton Primary School is seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic full-time teacher to work in one of our lower key stage 2 classes, to cover maternity leave from 1st September 2024. 

We are a Primary Special School for children with cognitive learning difficulties and associated complex needs. We are looking for a highly motivated teacher who is passionate about teaching children with SEND and committed to an inclusive approach. The successful candidate must be able to promote the positive and caring ethos of the school.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is passionate about learning and believes in the potential of all children.
  • has KS1/KS2 teaching experience.
  • has high expectations of all children’s achievement and behaviour.
  • is able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • can deliver a dynamic and stimulating learning environment to engage all children.
  • has a passion to make a difference to the lives of our children, with a real ability to inspire and motivate both children and colleagues.
  • has the ability to forge strong relationships with parents.
  • is resilient with an excellent sense of humour and a positive outlook.
