Salary: MPR/UPR + AET Wellbeing Cash Plan + Car Scheme + Pension Scheme (TPS) + Additional AET Benefits

Hours: Full-time and part-time positions are considered for the right candidates.

Start Date: September 2024, Permanent

We seek an excellent Spanish teacher to join our dynamic and passionate department. The successful candidate should be confident teaching Spanish at Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach at A level would be desirable. Raising the bar for all students, regardless of their ability, is high on the agenda in Spanish.

Students are extremely motivated and eager to achieve, thanks to a vibrant and enthusiastic group of practitioners. These practitioners display a huge passion for languages through their novel approaches to Teaching and Learning. An optimum level of the target language is also used across all lessons, and there is a strong feedback policy in place that not only improves students' attainment but also mindfully manages staff workload.

We are looking for an individual with a positive approach who will drive up standards and have the highest expectations of what students can achieve. In return, you can work in an innovative and highly supportive Academy.

Greenwood Academy is located at the heart of Castle Vale, a thriving and successful 11-18 institution. With a growing student body of 950 pupils, we are constantly evolving. Our core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience are deeply embedded in our school culture. We strive to equip all students with the knowledge and character required for personal and academic excellence.

To support this, we offer a wide range of opportunities beyond the core curriculum, whether in the Arts, which include school productions, dance, drama, and music performances, or through our extensive sports programme, which takes advantage of grass and 4G pitches, a Sports hall with a specialist dance studio, and a Multi-Use Games Area.

Our state-of-the-art building and world-class facilities use the latest technology, including the Google Education platform, to enhance the learning environment. Most importantly, children and young adults at Greenwood Academy tell us they enjoy coming to school and feel safe and secure.
