We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, adaptable and successful practitioner. We are seeking to recruit a passionate and outstanding teacher who is committed to putting children first; in the footsteps of St Chad. We have a shared style of leadership and encourage candidates who have an ability to work proactively to develop the learning opportunities for our children.

We are looking for a teacher who can:

• Develop an exciting and caring learning environment where our children will flourish through inspirational learning, love and laughter.

• Motivate children through exciting experiences and opportunities which create resilience, hope and aspirations for the future.

• Work collaboratively with all colleagues demonstrating a flexible and positive approach to challenge and change.

The successful candidate will have experience of the primary curriculum, have an excellent understanding of the expectations of learners and have the personal drive to achieve excellence.

• Possess excellent organisational and communication skills and has the ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, children, parents/carers and our community.

• Promote the spiritual welfare of the children and colleagues.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Teaching position classroom based to support teaching and learning.

You will be responsible for:

• Deliver lessons of a consistently high standard and expectations.

• Be effective classroom practitioner

• Be committed to raising achievement for our children

• Be able to share good practice with colleagues and work flexibly alongside and in support of them.

• Have a track record of successfully raising standards and ensuring all pupil groups make good progress.

• Be in empathy with, support and contribute to the Christian ethos of the academy.

• Promote and model the values and ethos of the Trust

• Be reflective practitioners

• Can think strategically and act practically to promote the ethos of learning

• Have the skill to develop effective relationships with staff and pupils.

• Promote the spiritual welfare of the pupils and staff

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• Planning and delivering effective lessons

• Effective classroom practitioner

• Practical experience of high quality teaching and learning leading to good pupil progress

• High level of written and oral communication skills

• Ability to form good relationships with parents

• Ability to co-ordinate a subject area

Responsibilities

Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children that they are responsible for /come into contact with (section 3.27 Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in education publication).

Be prepared to volunteer information at interview stage relating to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. (section 3.28 Safeguarding Children and Safer recruitment in education publication).

Any other duties which are commensurate with the grading of the post.
