About the role:

The Governors of St Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a small group of pupils with additional needs. The children will spend part of their day in our new resource offering, The Hive. These children do not have behavioural issues and are delightful to work with. There will be 3 to 4 children in this group and you will be working alongside one of our existing, fabulous teaching assistants. This additional provision is lead by our experienced and passionate SENCO.

The post is for 30 hours a week (and includes lunchtime supervision) over Monday to Friday 8.45am until 3.15pm. This post is permanent and begins on 1 September 2024.

St Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary School is a truly lovely place to work. We enjoy excellent relationships with pupils, parents and the parish, where trust and good communication are the foundations for all that we do. All staff are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We are a gorgeous, growing school, continuously looking to improve the learning experiences of our pupils and develop relationships within our community.

Key Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who:
- demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to work hard
- have a good sense of humour (and enjoy tea and cake!)
- preferably (although not essential) have experience of working one-to-one with children who have some difficulties accessing learning due to their additional needs

How to apply:
We are keen to offer visits to the school with our Executive Headteacher Mrs Wallace. To apply please complete the CES application form included with this job listing, and refer to the attached job description/person specification. Please contact Mrs Lisa McCrickard on 01926 493959 or email to arrange a visit.

Closing date & shortlisting: Monday 1 July 2024
Interview date: Monday 8 July (pm)

St Mary Immaculate is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
