Specialist Teaching Assistant

Temporary for 12 months in the first instance

35 hours per week (8.30am to 4.00pm)

Term time only to include some PD days

Scale 2, spinal column point 3

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and inspiring Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a new class at our Specialist Resource Base, to work with Reception/Lower KS1 children with significant needs. 

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a provision that is committed to achievement for all its pupils and ongoing professional development for staff, and to make a real impact on pupils and their progress. 

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Has a happy, can-do attitude and can motivate children with confidence and passion
  • Is committed to children enjoying and engaging in their learning
  • Is a team player with excellent communication skills and will demonstrate excellent working relationships with colleagues across school.
  • Is committed to creating and maintaining effective partnerships with parents/carers, outside agencies and the community.
