We are looking to recruit a dedicated Data Protection Officer to join the Council’s audit and governance team. You will assist the Audit and Governance Manager in driving forward improvements on the management of data and ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations and other data protection, freedom of information and information management laws.

The role will require someone with an excellent knowledge of the legislation and standards that affect information security management, particularly the GDPR, and an ability to analyse complex information and communicate effectively, which will include the delivery of training sessions to ensure compliance with information management policies.

Interviews will take place on Monday, 21st August 2017. Candidates will be required to undertake a test on the day and make a short presentation to the interview panel.
