Cover Supervisor - The Westminster School
Due to increased pupil numbers we are seeking to appoint several committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our successful school team. The Westminster School is a successful Special School catering for 180 pupils aged 7 to 19 years, with a complex range of special needs.
The successful candidates will work under the guidance of the Team Leader, Deputy Team Leader for Learning Support staff and other members of the school’s leadership team. They will assist teachers with an agreed system of supervision, implement work programmes with individuals and groups as well as produce resources under the guidance of the teacher. There will be some responsibility to cover lessons for absent teaching staff.
You must have a proven background of successfully working with children. You must have good ICT skills and be innovative in your approaches to their deployment and use. You must be able to form good working relationships with students, be an excellent role model and have excellent skills in responding to and resolving challenging behaviours.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion and desire to work with pupils from a variety of backgrounds. They must be dynamic individuals who are able to respond to the changing demands of daily school life.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days
Grade: Band D SCP 20-25 (£19,430 - £22,658 pro-rata) This is a full time salary and the salary will be reduced depending on hours and weeks worked
