Hour - 37 per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Secretary to the Chair of the Trust Board, Chief Executive and Secretariat Lead. 

The Trust is looking to appoint an outstanding individual who can demonstrate they have a track record of successful delivery, the required skills and experience; and can perform to a high standard in a challenging environment.

You will be expected to lead a successful Secretariat Team, working in a fast paced and rewarding environment and building on previous success, strengthening and enhancing the Secretariat Team

Main responsibilities will include:-

  • Providing day to day secretarial and administrative support to the Chair of the Trust Board and Chief Executive, including the planning and preparation of meetings and maintaining diaries.
  • Minute taking and producing of accurate minutes.
  • Responsible for the supervision of staff and overseeing the delivery of an efficient support service to the Directors and Heads of Service. 
  • Assisting with the preparation of material for communication to employees.

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Be able to demonstrate experience in effective staff supervision or hold a recognised supervisory management qualification.
  • Hold NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Experience of taking notes/minutes of meeting.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Able to prepare clear, concise reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and organise diaries.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good attention to detail. Be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
