Recognised by Ofsted as being a ‘Good’ provider of children’s social care, we are delighted to be recruiting an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Partner here at Birmingham Children’s Trust. In this role, you will play a crucial part in leading cultural improvements by identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to enhance organisational culture and colleague experience.

As a role model for the Trust values and leadership behaviours, you’ll promote a positive, inclusive culture throughout the organisation.

Main Duties:

  • Lead diversity and inclusion cultural improvements across the Trust.
  • Evaluate opportunities and implement solutions to enhance organisational culture and staff experience.
  • Drive the Diversity and Inclusion strategy, including robust reporting and analysis of key data (e.g., Workforce Race Equality scheme and Workforce Disability Equality scheme).
  • Collaborate with teams to solve organisational challenges.
  • Design and implement interventions, including training programs.

About Us:

The sole purpose of Birmingham Children’s Trust is to make a positive difference for children, young people and families in the city, by driving up the quality of practice and partnerships across the city and its services.

We are proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees - a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit.

There has never been a more exciting time to join Birmingham Children’s Trust as we celebrate our GOOD Ofsted status which we are immensely proud of. Birmingham Children’s Trust is going from strength to strength.

At Birmingham Children’s Trust we aim to be one dedicated team with a single unwavering focus – to improve the outcomes for children, young people and families in Birmingham.

We recognise that to achieve this we need the best, most talented, innovative and committed people to join us.

You will be part of a diverse and vibrant community of social work and support service professionals who are outcomes focussed and operate with a strong team ethos.

Being part of that team has responsibilities too; we want everyone, no matter what their role in the Trust, to bring their best self to work every day, to engage with the day to day challenges positively and to be supportive of and trust in each other.

We care about our people and that’s what will make us an Employer of Choice for social workers, children’s services and associated support services.
