Learning Support Practitioner Level 3 (two positions) 

  32 1/2 hours per week term time only, permanent position 

Actual salary £18,997 

Please note this salary is based on a full year post, as such your actual salary is dependent on your start date and will need to be recalculated once all clearances are in place and a start date has been agreed. 

  

Start Date: September 2024 (Fixed term for 1 year in the first instance)

Shepwell Short Stay School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and potential of every pupil at the school. We have places in school for 90 learners, all who have an EHCP and work in a very bespoke manner to support our learners complex needs. We offer a GCSE pathway in the main but have a very inclusive curriculum that is tailored to the individual needs of the young person.  

Do you have the motivation and skills to work with young people with a medical conditions (including, mental health, illness, autism) to overcome the challenges they face and enable them to ‘achieve their potential? We  

Duties cover a range of activities including working within our home and hospital team (in school lesson delivery in The Hive), supporting in our newly created student support area, small group teaching years 7 to 11 working with external agencies and parents, and working closely with teaching and support staff. The role will involve some 1@1 support work with year 11 pupils.
