Teaching Assistant – Child Specific Vacancy

Fixed Term Contract to 31/12/2017

17.5 hours per week (Term time only)

Salary: Band B £15,246 - £17,072 pa, pro rata

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 work with a child with ASD who will be starting in Year 5 in September.

The appointment is to start as soon as possible in September 2017 and will initially be for 1 term only.

We want to hear from you if you:

• Are an enthusiastic individual with a flair for education.

• Believe in child-centred learning and have high expectations of yourself and the children.

• Have at least an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent childcare qualification

• Have a passion for working with children with additional needs.

• Know how to get the most out of children with additional needs.

• Have experience of working with children with ASD.

• Are willing to participate fully in school life at our busy, happy school.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday mornings 3.5 hours per day initially, 8.45am to 12.15pm.

Hours may increase and include afternoons, subject to funding.
