TA2 in the mornings at TA2 plus SEN Allowance in the afternoons plus before and after school club hours

Class based TA in the mornings 19:17 per week TTO plus 5

TED days, 1-1 TA in the Afternoon 12.08 hours

The Governors and staff of our large church school are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Teaching Assistant in the mornings to support the Teacher in a class and also to work as a 1:1 support for a child/ren in the afternoons. There is also an expectation this post holder will undertake Breakfast Club (07:30 – 08:40) and After School Club (15:25 – 17:30) role as well.   This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new direction for the school.  The role will be term time only. There is flexibility to discuss the working pattern and requirements of each role:

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have experience of supporting children within the primary age range/school setting 
  • Have experience/interest in working with children with specific and/or complex needs 
  • Have high expectations for our children’s progress and overall achievement 
  • Take an imaginative and creative approach to curriculum learning that captures the children’s interest 
  • Be flexible, forward thinking, innovative and highly energetic  
  • Has an understanding of how children learn, including social/emotional development. 
  • Have a passion for quality teaching and learning, enabling the best outcomes for our children. 
  • Be able to work well as part of our whole school team and school community 
  • Support our Christian ethos as a church school
