The Role

40.0 Hours per Week

Term time only, 39 weeks per year

Salary: Lift Training Programme Leader £21,016 per annum and Travel Trainers salary : £18,403 per annum

This is an exciting time to join the award winning LIFT programme. In partnership with Warwickshire County Council and other service providers you will provide independent travel training to vulnerable young people who have learning difficulties or physical disabilities, to enable them to use public transport for journeys to school and college.

You will join a strong programme and after induction training will be capable of delivering structured 1:1 support.

Key Requirements

This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.

You will have good organisational skills and enjoy working in a community setting across Warwickshire. The team will be based in Warwick. You will be confident working independently in the community, an excellent communicator with a dynamic and innovative approach. You will be the holder of a full driving license. You may have or be working towards teaching qualifications, if not Lift Training will support the gaining of such qualifications. These roles may attract applicants from a variety of backgrounds such as teaching, learner support, newly qualified graduates, care workers, former police officers, and youth workers.

These roles will require travel and flexible start and finish times. The travel trainer role will be supervised by the Programme Leader who will identify the caseload of young people.
