Reception/Administrator/Reprographics Assistant

Specific Responsibilities:

To provide Reception service and act as the first point of contact for all visitors to the academy.

To receive and deal with all telephone calls from parents, outside agencies, etc when Senior Managers are not available ensuring accurate and effective communication.

To ensure that the Reception area is neat, tidy, safe and impressive.

To ensure that the complaints procedure is followed effectively in line with Academy’s policy.

To be responsible for Reprographics, to include photocopying and badge printing, departmental recharging, first line repair of paper jams etc.

To attend to staff and student requests in Student Resources as required, to ensure that stock levels and forms are replenished and maintained at a level economical to the Academy resources.

To carry out regular stock-takes of reprographics resources, e.g. paper, card, toner, staples etc. to ensure service continuity.

To maintain the mobile phone log, debt log and uniform log.

To monitor the return of loaned school uniform, including daily reminders for students/parents.

To provide Session 3, Session Observation and Children’s University administration support as required.

To carry out other reasonable tasks from time to time as directed by the Administration Manager and Headteacher.


37.5 hours a week – Monday to Friday, specific hours to be agreed

200 days worked per year (190 term time days, plus 5 term time PD Days, plus 5 additional days in negotiation with the Administration Manager)
