Hours: 36.5 per week/52 weeks per year. Split shift working pattern: 6:00am to 9:30am and 2:15pm to 6:00pm (please note that very occasionally some weekend and out of hours work may be required)

We are looking for a temporary Building Services Manager to join our dedicated and hard-working federated site team. This position will work across each of the three settings of the federation Victoria School/Victoria College campus (Northfield) and Cherry Oak School (Selly Oak).

The successful candidate will be a committed, reliable and self-motivated person, who is able to form positive relationships with a range of stakeholders. As the Building Services Manager you will work closely with all members of our skilled site team and share responsibility for the security, safety, maintenance and cleanliness of the estate ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for our whole school/college community.

Key Requirements:

• be hard-working and flexible and able to meet the physical demands detailed in the job description

• able to demonstrate some practical skills to be able to undertake a range of general grounds and property maintenance issues

• the ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a wider team

Responsibility for key holding is a requirement of the position which will primarily focus on providing cover for other members of the team. A flexible approach to work hours is needed however there is some scope to work with the right candidate to agree a suitable work pattern if required.
