Hours: 37 hours per week (may be required to work out of hours)

Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for two Painters to join us at Wolverhampton Homes within our Property Services Directorate. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Undertake repairs, maintenance, and improvements on a variety of Wolverhampton City Council and third-party properties to provide high quality repairs and maintenance services. 
  • Undertake the full range of tasks within their base trade to a level two standard, including but are not limited to; surface preparation, painting, wall papering, etc. 
  • Support with minor elements of additional trade works (excluding gas and electrical works), Examples include, but are not limited to; 

Carpentry – remove/refix skirting, architraves, and panels, Plastering – plaster patching (typically <0.5M²), Plumbing – remove/refix radiators. 

 

About you:

  • Do you have a City Guilds or NVQ Level 2 qualification in Painting & Decorating, or substantial site-based experience?
  • Have you had experience working in the built environment and/or maintenance and social housing environment?
  • Can you demonstrate a willingness and keenness to undertake specific training to develop specific competence in the role including Health and Safety Training?
